A series of vessels created in collaboration with Kanoh Tomoo of the long-established and renowned Kyoto Kiyomizu-yaki pottery kiln, Shokoku Kiln. The theme of this series was "Tea Party" and was created for my solo exhibition in the UK, with the image of recreating British tea set on Japanese tableware. The series of one-off blue-themed hand-painted pieces include 'Wreath: sea', 'Square plate: blue bird', 'Gugumi-nomi: blue sky', 'Sobachoko: night sky' and 'Round plate: blue flower', making use of the blue colour of the underglaze blue, reminiscent of royal blue.
